WYSIWYM

An acronym for the user interface concept of "What you see is what you mean." as contrasted with WYSIWYG. The basic premise is that objects which are abstracted from representational details are presented and controlled on the screen in some vocabulary relevant to the semantics that the user is interested in.

This term was basically coined for the Lyx software documentation to explain the difference between it and other visually-oriented word processors.
