Noam Chomsky

A person. Linguist who put forth the theory of a Universal Grammar, according to which all human languages, when analysed on a sufficiently deep level, share a common structure grounded in the (biologically determined) structure of the human psychology.

More known for his extensive writing about social and political issues (especially the foreign policies and activities of U.S. government organizations) and as an independent advocate of libertarian socialism? (also known as anarchism?).
